Description

When sending a remote notification to update a Live Activity, the payload may contain an alert. The alert content is shown on Apple Watch similar to a push notification, but it is not shown on iPhone.

This means that users without Apple Watch may miss vital information, unless apps choose to also send a traditional push notification separate from the Live Activity update.

Suggestion: if the customer has granted push notification permissions for the iOS app, and the app receives a Live Activity update containing an alert, then iPhone should show the Live Activity alert as if it were a traditional push notification.
